Privacy policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

This policy explains what information Golf Course World (golfcourseworld.com) collects and how it is used.

Information you send us

If you use our contact or correction forms, we receive what you type (such as your name, email address and message). We use it only to reply to you and to fix course information. We don’t sell it or share it for marketing.

Tools

Our golf calculators run in your browser. Scores and distances you enter are not sent to us or stored.

“Near me”

If you choose “Near me”, your browser asks for permission to share your location. It is used in your browser to sort courses by distance and is not sent to us.

Maps, fonts and hosting

Maps are loaded from OpenFreeMap and fonts from Google Fonts, so those services receive your IP address when they send content to your browser. Our site is hosted by Bluehost and served through Cloudflare, which process technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site.

Cookies and analytics

We don’t run advertising at this time. We may add privacy-friendly analytics (such as Google Analytics) to understand which pages are useful; if we do, we’ll update this page.
