One yard is exactly 0.9144 metres, so 100 yards is 91.4 metres and 100 metres is about 109.4 yards. Courses in the UK, Ireland and the US usually show yardages, while much of Europe, Asia and Australia use metres. A quick rule of thumb: metres are roughly 10% less than the yardage.
