Overview

Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is one of the four courses run by Arnold Palmer Golf Management at Walt Disney World, a group the National Golf Course Owners Association named its 2026 Resort Golf Course of the Year. It is a country-club style layout that threads past pastel villas, pine woods, palmettos and lakes, and it is open to the public as well as resort guests.

Joe Lee conceived the 18-hole course, and its trademark is a set of raised greens protected by bunkers, which means precise approach shots score better than long drives. The best-known hole is the 7th, played to an island green. Four sets of tees run from 6,718 yards (rating 71.7, slope 133) off the Blues down to 5,228 off the Reds, and the course has hosted events on the PGA Tour, the LPGA Tour and the USGA calendar. It is also certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Wildlife Sanctuary.

In May 2026 the course shut for a major renovation: the greens were being completely rebuilt and the irrigation upgraded, among other improvements, with the work expected to last into the fall. Rental TaylorMade clubs (more than 100 sets, including junior sets) and Adidas shoes are available, along with lessons and a driving range at the Walt Disney World Golf facilities.
