Overview
Golf de Falnuée is a golf and hotel estate at the Château-ferme de Falnuée in Mazy, near Gembloux in the Belgian province of Namur. It is about 50 minutes from Brussels and 15 minutes from Charleroi Airport, which makes it an easy base for a golf break in Wallonia.
The 18-hole course is made up of three loops. It is a pleasantly hilly par 72 of 5956 metres with a slope of 129 that winds around two rivers and natural hazards. Three holes run through the woods, a few sit up on a plateau and others lie down in the valley, and the changes of scene call for technique and precision. The club sells it as a course of many faces that golfers of every level can enjoy in any season.
The estate has its own three-star hotel with 8 double rooms, 1 single room and 1 family suite, and it offers golf and hotel packages. The Brasserie du Golf serves as the clubhouse, with 2 meeting rooms and a terrace in front of the green; it also hosts seminars, banquets and other events.
For learners, the Let’s Play Golf programme gives 4 months’ access to the practice area, 6 hours of individual lessons, equipment loan, free practice balls and small competitions on the main course, for €520 solo or €740 for two.
