Overview
Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach is a private club with 27 holes: the 18-hole Championship Course and the nine-hole Trump Nine, both designed by Jim Fazio. It was the very first course in the Trump Golf portfolio, and the Championship Course opened in 1999.
Fazio had an unusual canvas: the site was originally flat. The Trump Organization's budget topped $40 million, and more than three million cubic yards of earth were moved in nine months, partly to build what the club calls the highest golf elevation in Florida, 58 feet above sea level. The result is a course of rolling hills, streams, waterfalls and a planted southern live oak forest, quite unlike the flat terrain most South Florida golfers know. Fazio has said that if he never designed another course, this one would be the highlight of his career.
The Championship Course is par 72 and measures 7,496 yards from the Championship tees and 6,666 from the Blues, with more tees for other abilities. Across 330 acres it features 5.2 acres of bunkers, 40 acres of lake, five waterfall features and 900 Royal Palm trees. Florida Golf Magazine has rated it the number one course in the state, and it has been ranked in the top 50 by both Golf Digest and Golf Magazine.
The Trump Nine is a separate par 36 loop of 3,605 yards, mixing wooded and open holes with tree-lined fairways and angled greens; its signature hole is an island green. Members also have a three-tiered driving range with a large short game area, a pro shop and the sunlit Grill Room with views over the course.

History & highlights
The Championship Course built its reputation quickly after opening in 1999. It hosted the LPGA Championship for eight years, the 2008 Maybach Cup and, in 2023, an event in the Aramco Team Series.
Accolades listed by the club include Golf Magazine's Best Golf Courses in Florida, Golfweek's Top Modern Courses and Best Private Golf Courses in Every State, Golf Digest's Best Golf Courses in Florida, a Platinum Clubs of America honorable mention, and Golf Digest recognition of teacher Gary Wiren.
The first hole is a 475-yard par 4 from an elevated tee, with a stream on the right and the "Valley of Fatigue" waiting for anything missed right of the green.
The championship tee on the 417-yard second sits on top of a World War II bomb shelter.
The 539-yard par 5 is reachable in two for players who take on the bunkers on the right; a waterfall and creek guard the left of the green.
The signature hole of the Trump Nine is an island green.
- LPGA Championship (eight-year host)

Tips for first-timers
- You need a member to bring you; the club does not sell tee times to the public.
- Expect to work early: the opening hole is one of the hardest par 4s on the course and a bogey there is no disgrace.
- On the second, stay below the hole; the green has a false front and slopes from front to back.
- Call the golf shop on (561) 973-1514 to order logo gifts or apparel.
