Overview

Golf de Lavaux lies between Lausanne and Montreux, a drive away from Lake Geneva and the Lavaux vineyard terraces, a UNESCO World Heritage site. From the green, rolling site at Puidoux you look out over the Alps and the Diablerets range.

The 18-hole course was designed by the noted architect Peter Harradine and opened in 1999. He worked it into the natural landscape, and its many slopes and varied, technical design make it fun for golfers of every level. The club warns that it can be very demanding for players who like to attack.

Alongside the main course there is a 6-hole course of 637 metres, par 18, which is ideal for a quick game, juniors or newer players. There is also a driving range facing the mountains and good-quality putting and chipping greens. The teaching pros run courses and give private, small-group and family lessons for beginners and improvers.

The clubhouse restaurant is open to the public every day, and its terrace has a superb view of the Alps. For dinner you must book at least 48 hours ahead by phone or through the restaurant's website. The club holds GEO Certified® status for sustainable golf, and its members can play free on 12 other courses through the Private Partner Golf network.
