Overview
Golfclub Grevelingenhout sits right beside Lake Grevelingen at Bruinisse, the mussel-fishing village in Zeeland. The course covers more than 52 hectares of former farmland and woodland, where the salty sea air mixes with the scent of chestnut blossom. The club prides itself on a warm welcome for every golfer, from beginner to low handicapper, and on the mild climate of its corner of the coast.
The main course is an 18-hole parkland layout, par 72, with a total length of 6,151 metres, framed by plenty of greenery that a dedicated team looks after every day. Visiting players mention a number of doglegs that call for smart play, and water hazards that come into play when the ball runs on firm ground. There is also a separate par-3 loop, handy for a short game or for newer golfers.
The Brasserie Grevelingenhout looks out over the shared double green of the 9th and 18th holes. It serves coffee, Zeeland-style lunches and full meals built on fresh local and seasonal produce, and it also caters for clinics, meetings and business events in the club's meeting rooms. The golf shop carries the latest fashion, and the professional fitting studio, with an indoor practice green and a wide range of shafts and club heads, helps you choose new clubs after a short intake.
Lessons are given by the PGA professionals of the JW Golf Academy (Jonathan Willis), with private and group lessons for every level and a strong focus on junior golf. Other facilities include a charging point for electric cars, Wi-Fi and an ANWB e-bike charging point.
